About Renovare Music
Renovare's Mission: Sharing music at the highest level of artistry in diverse settings and innovative programs to love our neighbor, affirm the value of all people, and cultivate reconciled communities. A 501(c)3 nonprofit based in Cleveland, Ohio, Renovare currently pursues its vision of bringing hope and healing through music in three ways: Concerts, Songwriting, and Teaching. Renovare has a heart for people in marginalized spaces, which is where 75% of their performances occur. We’re intentional about offering the same high quality performances to people in every setting, creating shared experiences for people from all walks of life. Additionally, Renovare’s trained Teaching Artists use Documentary Songwriting to support and empower individuals whose voices often go unheard. This highly collaborative approach to songwriting demystifies creativity and allows someone with no musical background to express themselves through high-quality songs. Renovare also pursues its work of bridging divided communities and creating restorative experiences through two teaching programs. These weekly classes offer men and women in prison the opportunity to learn to play violin, viola, or cello in a supportive group setting. Renovare does this work because we believe there is a God who is restoring every part of this world. We want to use our unique artistic gifts in that process as we love our neighbor, affirm the value of all people, and cultivate reconciled communities.
