Repton sports is responsible for the emergence of the Calypso Cricket Coaching mat. Set up in 2015 the Calypso Cricket coaching mat teaches junior cricketers the thirteen main cricket shots in the batting matrix. The Mat teaches the basics of Batting in a new easy and exciting way. The mat encourages juniors to play the correct shot based on where the ball pitches. No longer will junior cricketers ask “Where should I hit the ball?” or “How do I play that Shot?“. The mat is supplied with shot demonstration cards so that juniors can perform each and every shot to perfection. The Mat is easily transported and can be used in any environment whether it be Lords or your back garden after school. Calypso Cricket produce a range of different cricket mats, varying in size and materials as well as plastic cricket sets, step by step coaching guides and online tutorial videos.
