About Rescue Inc

Rescue Inc was founded by a group of Ski Patrollers in 1966. Today, we serve 14 communities in Southern Vermont and New Hampshire as a primary 911 ambulance provider. We also provide the region's primary source of inter-facility ambulance transport for emergent and non-emergent patients to local and long distance tertiary care facilities. We take pride in the care we provide to our patients. In addition to the Advanced Life Support (ALS) 911 coverage, we also provide Critical Care Paramedic (CCP) level of care for inter-facility transport. Rescue Inc opened Vermont's first EMS Academy in 2022 located in Newfane, Vermont. This facility is filled with state of the art emergency training equipment to prepare the newest of pre-hospital providers in New England. We are proud to have multiple high-fidelity simulators, classrooms and experienced lecturers to make th best education experience we can. Learn more about VEMSA by visiting https://vemsa.org. In addition, we run a volunteer technical rescue team. With Vermont's landscape, the services are essential to providing for the emergency medical needs of patients that are difficult to access. The Southern VT Technical Rescue Team offers swift water rescue, high/low angle rescue, search and rescue, ropes, boat rescue, ice rescue and more. As a non-profit private ambulance provider, we can put our patients first. The care that we provide the region is second to none. Our dedicated clinical team are held to the highest of pre-hospital standards. Our Pediatric team maintains our status as a Vermont Pediatric Safe Transport Agency and keeps our agency ready to help patients of all ages, including our youngest.
