Globally, the survival rate of out of hospital SCA is about 1%. While the survival rate in the United States is higher at 7%, rates greater than 50% have been proven to be within reach with well managed Automated External Defibrillator (AED) programs. AED Program Management helps in planning and maintaining emergency readiness for AED programs and has a direct link to the success rate of SCA survival.
