We support three trusted and long-standing furniture brands – Furnware, Sebel and Sebel Distinction – with our design, manufacturing, sales, service, logistics and marketing expertise. OUR HISTORY Our belief in the power of well-designed furniture was spawned by two creative minds – Hamish Whyte & Harry Sebel. Hamish’s clear vision for Furnware helped shape the brand as a trusted learning space expert in New Zealand and Australia, with increasing dominance in the Middle East and South Asian markets. The brand is pushing boundaries with its focus on positive educational outcomes by improving student comfort and concentration with their world-class furniture. Founded by Harry Sebel in 1951, the Sebel story began in Australia. From its revolutionary plastic chair moulding in the 50s to be the first to replace wooden chairs in Australian schools with Polypropylene, Sebel has grown to become one of the largest and most diverse furniture manufacturers in the Southern Hemisphere. In many ways, our history began more than 80 years ago. We have grown and evolved since then, but our basic philosophy and principles have remained the same and can be traced back to the foundation laid by these two visionaries.
