About Resilient Colorado
Trauma affects us all. That’s why we need to work together to build resilience in ourselves, our workplaces, and our communities. Our mission is to build trauma-sensitive communities across the state of Colorado and beyond. At Resilient Colorado, we partner with schools, businesses, and non-profits to teach them how trauma impacts our brains, bodies, and behaviors. We also provide ongoing consultation support to organizations as they adopt trauma-sensitive practices that foster resilience and improve outcomes for staff, students, families, and clients. Whether you're a teenager, an adult, a caregiver, a teacher, a business owner, or a professional, we have the perfect workshop for you. Join us either in person or online to learn valuable skills and techniques that will enhance your resilience and well-being. Trauma Informed Schools see a decrease in discipline referrals and an increase in outcomes like graduation rates and higher levels of staff engagement, satisfaction, and retention. Businesses find that the Trauma Informed Care model results in excellent customer service, cost-savings, and a wide range of improved outcomes. Resilience can be taught, and it is profoundly important for ourselves, our businesses, and our communities at large. A groundbreaking CDC study in the late 1990’s revealed a significant and ongoing connection between Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and negative adult health outcomes, running the gamut from cancer, heart disease, and diabetes to addiction, suicidality, and more. Trauma affects all of us, either directly or indirectly, so it is imperative that we work together to build resilience. Training courses & workshops include: Trauma Informed Care, Trauma Informed Schools, Compassion Without Fatigue, the Science of Resilience, and more. Learn more here: resilient-colorado.org/trainings
