About Resin and Wax Holdings Limited
Resin and Wax Holdings Limited (ResWax) has developed a process to produce natural resins and waxes from kauri fields in New Zealand's Far North that naturally improves land fertility. The Kauri wax is valued as an ingredient in printing, polishes, coatings and other applications across numerous industries. The Kauri resin is valued as a specialty ingrediant in building materials, glues, inks and numerous other applications. ResWax uses a combination of novel engineering, chemical expertise and unique process design to reach the extracted product. In 2016, we established a pilot plant to fine-tune our production process and create sample product for our global end-users. In late 2022 we concluded a substantial capital raise, and in late 2024 we successfully commissioned our Development Plant, producing tonnes of product a month. In early 2025 we succesfully completed a further capital raise. Exploiting the technical and practical lessons made possible by the Development Plant we will be completing the design and construction of our Commercial Plant (producing over two hundred tonnes a month) over 2025/26. As we ramp up commercial operation in 2027 we will also be designing/ procuring our Expanded Plant (taking total production around 1000 tonnes/ month) for commissioning in 2029. ResWax prides itself on the collaboration , investment and commercial realtionships it enjoys with the local Far North community in general, and the NgāiTakoto people in particular. We take pride in the progress we have made toward our vision: to create a sustainable and profitable business in a new industry creating incremental income and high quality employment for the local economy, while providing high performing alternatives to the specialty natural resin and wax industries globally.
