About Resonate - A Piano Charity
Resonate - A Piano Charity is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making the joy of music accessible to all—especially those who need it most. Founded by a professional pianist and piano technician, Resonate exists to bridge the gap between unused musical resources and the communities that can benefit from them most. We partner with skilled piano technicians, performers, and donors to provide free piano tuning, repair, entertainment, and donated instruments to underserved schools, retirement and nursing homes, community centers, and individuals across the country. Whether it’s restoring a dusty piano in a small-town school, organizing a live performance in a memory care facility, or matching a donated piano with a family in need, our mission is to make sure music is never out of reach. Music has the power to uplift, connect, and heal. Yet maintaining or acquiring a piano can be an overwhelming financial burden for many. Through Resonate, we aim to remove those barriers—creating a nationwide network of service-minded musicians and technicians ready to respond wherever music is needed most. We believe that every piano has a second life, and every community deserves the joy of sound. Together, we’re working to keep the music alive—one piano at a time.
