About Resource Assistance for Youth

Resource Assistance for Youth, Inc. (RaY) is a non-profit, street-level agency that works with street-entrenched and homeless youth from the ages of 0-29. Our mission is to provide youth with what they need, on their terms, to better their lives. As a frontline service organization RaY seeks to provide services that meet the emergent and long-term needs of youth experiencing homelessness. The environment that RaY provides is welcoming and participant-centered. We see a wide spectrum of youth with a variety of obstacles that must be overcome as they attempt to move from a life of dependence to a life of independence. Deemed an ‘unreachable population’, our youth receive services on an individual basis with the intention of our staff assisting them to self-determine a participant-driven plan that will match their competencies and skills sets.
