Resource for Life Foundation is a California-based nonprofit committed to supporting survivors of abuse, coercive control, and high-control groups—including religious cults, toxic relationships, manipulative families, exploitative workplaces, and more. A survivor-founded organization, we know firsthand how difficult it can be to untangle from systems of control that erode trust, autonomy, and self-worth—not just because of the logistical challenges, but because of the deep emotional toll it takes. Our mission is to offer clarity, hope, and practical tools to help survivors reclaim their lives—and to support the professionals and organizations walking alongside them. We curate survivor-informed resources that go beyond trauma recovery—supporting the whole person as they rebuild.
