About Respiratory Care Africa (RCA)
RCA's journey began in 1998 as a family-run enterprise, boasting a modest team of five. Initially specializing in Ventilation and Neonatology with the Bear agency, our growth trajectory was swift. By 1999, we proudly incorporated Fisher & Paykel, followed by the Mindray agency in 2005, enhancing our acute hospital product offerings. Over time, our product portfolio expanded to encompass Critical Care, Operating Rooms, Emergency Departments, Wards, Sub Acute Hospitals, and a rapidly growing Homecare Division. In 2014, RCA underwent a transition, joining Ascendis Health. Despite becoming part of a multinational listed entity, we remained steadfast in preserving our distinctive culture and identity, prioritizing unparalleled customer service and fostering an exceptional work environment. Fast forward to October 2021, buoyed by the support of private equity firm Ata Capital, RCA embarked on a triumphant Management buyout, reclaiming its status as a 100% South African, privately owned entity. In an era increasingly centred on patient well-being, RCA is actively evolving to align with the broader context of clinical operations, positioning itself as an insightful partner in line with the evolving vision of health. Embracing the future of healthcare, we are continually honing our capabilities and forging new partnerships across diverse healthcare landscapes. Our evolving portfolio now encompasses interventional, surgical, and in-vitro diagnostic solutions, underscoring our commitment to advancing healthcare excellence.
