RESPOND Speech Therapy offers intensive, affordable speech therapy services to adults living with neurological impairment, such as aphasia ---the acquired speech, language and cognitive impairments after a stroke or brain injury . Growing amounts of scientific studies are showing that people with aphasia (PWAs) can continue to make progress beyond the "recovery window," given access to the therapy they need. Therapy sessions are by appointment only and are provided in your home. Currently services are private pay, however I do have a Medicare provider application pending. RESPOND wants to provide PWAs the opportunity to pursue continued speech therapy that works for your budget. IN-HOME therapy with focus on communication skills for everyday life. Together, we'll develop a communication plan that includes: *Evidence-based treatment techniques. *Therapeutic activities that are meaningful to your life. *Up to 90-min of individual therapy. *Affordable treatment with a mission to help you thrive! For those living with Parkinson's disease, I am a certified provider of the Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT-LOUD). I've been practicing in the Chattanooga area since 2007. I am licensed by the state of TN and hold my Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association. Over the years, I have worked in skilled nursing, home health, and rehab hospital settings. As a clinician and a person who stutters, I understand first hand how a communication impairment impacts a person’s personal, social, and professional life. I dreamed Respond Speech Therapy out of my own personal therapeutic experiences, as well as the clinical experiences of myself, other therapists, clients and their families.
