About Response For Life

Response For Life aims to raise awareness of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) - it takes the lives of over 30,000 Australians each year. We want to work together to bring this number down. Prompt CPR and DEFIBRILLATION are the best treatment of SCA. Our aim is to give Australians the confidence to help each other in an emergency SCA situation. Together we can ensure that more areas are 'Defibrillator (Defib) Safe' and more people understand that in these situations they are the best chance of saving another person’s life until our Ambulance service arrives. We get involved and we care! We give hands on demonstrations to build real confidence with how to use a Defibrillator in the event of an emergency. We have fun while we give Australians confidence! It is as simple as this, each life we can save is an exponential positive impact to so many more lives - Loved ones; family, children, adults, friends, colleagues... it goes on. This is what drives us, knowing that the more we do, will lead to less Australians and their loved ones being a victim to SCA. We can't do it alone, please consider how your response can make a difference to so many lives. Offices, Schools, Clubs, Sporting venues are only a few types of places we have equipped with a defib. At those same venues we have provided a 'Confidence Building Session' to ensure all are aware of what to do. There is so much you can do to help - money is not the only way to support.
