About Responsible Packaging Management Association of Southern Africa (RPMASA)

RPMASA is an Industry Association providing a Focal Point for all in the Life Cycle and Supply Chain of dangerous goods and hazardous articles, in the Industrial & Retail Sectors It is a registered Non Profit Organisation so subscriptions etc are tax deductible. Our purpose is to: Provides Members with information, Specialist knowledge, Training, Audit and Consulting opportunities to aid compliance in the Supply Chain. Information on Classification, packaging and labelling, handling, storage and transport, including Risk Assessments. RPMASA participates in various government fora for new Legislation and Regulations as well as International and National Standards. It is the only Industry Association with a seat on the UN Sub Committees of Experts for transport of dangerous goods, and the GHS thus is uniquely placed to provide Members up to date information to be pro-active, and comply with new, and, coming legislation for local and export markets to enhance company image. We achieve our purpose by: Providing Information Service Awareness Raising & Training On site assistance & Auditing Input into developing Standards & new legislation Lobbying Government Regional Workshops & Events International & Local Networking Recognition through Partnerships Research Membership is open to all companies in the supply chain and transport of dangerous goods packaging, as well as products/services to RPMASA members and consultants, which bring them in regular contact with industry. These include: Industry members Manufacturers and Designers Logistics Supply Chain Transporters Suppliers and Service Providers Affiliates Government Consultant Industry Association International Patron and Platinum Members Unique, elite membership category for leaders in regulatory and environmental compliance who actively support and promote our policies and ideals.
