About Restoran MOON

Now already 12 years ago head chefs Roman and Igor decided to quit their careers pursuing high end gastronomy goals and to go back to their culinary roots. Thus Restaurant Moon was born. One of our good friends said after his first visit to Moon – “You have to look back in order to move forward!” We try to be as down to earth as possible, which is often a bigger challenge than fine dining, as simple products demand much more attention to be able to shine. Our food mantras – simple, honest, local and sustainable – all presented to You in a Nordic style behind the hidden corner of the wooden Kalamaja suburb. In the kitchen You’ll find renowned head chefs Roman Zaštšerinski ja Igor Andrejev. Jana Zaštšerinski the head of the restaurant and a sommelier creates a homely atmosphere and warmly welcomes the guests and is in charge of the wine list. Roman and Igor work hard in order to give us an opportunity to enjoy pure, fresh and better everyday food. We hope that eating at Moon is like coming to our home. Each chef dreams of his own restaurant, Moon is our dream come true. At Moon everything is the way we like it – the food, the interior, the atmosphere. In its existence, our restaurant Moon has won many significant recognition, including being chosen as one of Estonia’s Top 50 Restaurants ever year from 2010 to 2017. Also we are on the list of Best Restaurants in the Baltics and awarded yearly by The White Guide Nordic since 2017 and nowadays. For us was the highest recognition this year when Moon was also chosen as a Michelin recommended restaurant in Michelin Guide 2022 Estonia. We are sincerely grateful!!
