About Restoration Ministries

Restoration Ministries provides life-changing opportunities to men and women with histories of addictions. Our two 18-month residential Christian-based programs are free of charge and help residents develop a relationship with Jesus Christ as well as learn life and job skills. Residents receive counseling, daily devotions and attend two recovery meetings a week. Through our youth programs, we help children and teens improve academically, avoid destructive behaviors and identity and develop their talents. Our goal is to have students prepared for high school success. A weekly food pantry serves residents of Harvey and the south suburbs. Our pantry offers a wide variety of canned goods, meat, dairy, produce, baked goods and breads. With the help of dedicated volunteers, we serve an average of 250 households a week. Our community garden also provides fresh vegetables and herbs to our neighbors and food pantry clients. In addition, we are a weekly site for the South Suburban PADS Emergency Shelter for homeless individuals. We welcome women and children Sunday evenings from October through April. We operate two thrift stores that provide job training and employment for Harvey House and Tabitha House residents and graduates. Located in South Holland and Harvey, our Thrift Stores also provide a steady stream of revenue to support our programs. We pick up donations of furniture, appliances, household items and clothing.
