About Restorative Connections Counseling
Hi! I am Brittany Garcia and I started Restorative Connections Counseling. I am an LCPC specializing in trauma therapy for teens and adults. I provide teletherapy throughout the state of Idaho, preparing to expand to telehealth and in-person therapy in the Billings, Montana area. I am EMDR trained, including specific to telehealth. I have additional interest and experience in Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Bipolar, Dissociative disorders and adjusting to significant life changes. I am an LGBT+ affirming clinician that has worked with several clients identifying as trans, non bianary and gender questioning on understanding and accepting their identity, living more authentically and building a support system. My experience comes from working with individuals at a center for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, in community mental health, and with adolescents at a residential treatment center. I have sought out training on incorporating Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy, EMDR and Sandtray Interventions in trauma informed, identity-affirming multicultrual therapy. Believing that authentic, healthy connection with others is necessary for healing and happiness, I intend to help clients create mutually-growth-fostering relationships where both parties feel heard and understood in and outside of sessions, alongside their individual tx goals.
