About Restoring Citizens
Restoring Citizens was created in 2017 by two paroled life sentenced individuals and an ex street gang member. The creation of Restoring Citizens was to fill a need in the community of San Diego for reentry services that was not currently being met. Our philosophy is that we cannot understand your plight unless we have walked in your shoes. The team at Restoring Citizens has lived prison gang lifestyles themselves, as well as having walked on some of California’s most dangerous prison yards. Our team brings their intimate knowledge and personal experience with gangs and the criminal lifestyle to light. Restoring Citizens understands the how what and why individuals who get caught up in criminal lifestyle are going through. Our goal is to help potential clients understand and recognized what needs to be done in order to stop senseless acts of violence towards community and self. This understanding of the criminal lifestyle makes Restoring Citizens unique in the world of Reentry. We are the only company who founders have done hard time in prison, then exited prison and transitioned successfully back into society. We bring clients a level of understanding and compassion of what trials and tribulations they are facing during the transitional process from prison to society.
