About RGC Engineering (Pty)
RGC Engineering (Pty) Ltd. was established in 1960 by Rolando Grech-Cumbo, as a small business in Johannesburg with two Tool & Cutter Grinders, providing a tool sharpening service to local engineering firms. CEO, Aurelio Grech-Cumbo, son of Rolando, has taken RGC into the future of Engineering in South Africa, staying on the cutting edge of development and technology. Dedicated to supplying quality products to the highest standards of accuracy, the range of activities increased to the Design & Manufacture of specially produced form tools, jigs, fixtures and the NC & CNC machining of high precision components, leading subsequently to a full manufacturing facility being established. In 1975 the Sales Organisation was established to complement the Manufacturing Facilities and to increase the range of activities in the fields of: Machine Tools, Dimensional and Metrology Measuring Equipment, Metal Forming and Pressing Machines as well as CAD/CAM Design and Service Centre. To maintain customer satisfaction a comprehensive after sales back-up service for the products sold, became necessary. Therefore in 1980 an efficient service, repair and maintenance and training division was established. RGC Engineering is also a SANAS accredited Company for calibration of 3D Co-ordinate Measuring Machines, Profile Projectors and Roundness Testers. In an effort to supply the highest quality standards, RGC is also a certified ISO 9001:2008 Company. Furthermore, RGC Engineering is a member of the National Tooling Initiative Program (NTIP), the Tooling Association of South Africa (TASA) and the Gauteng Tooling Initiative (GTI).
