About Rhode Island Business Leaders Alliance

In a collaborative effort to improve Rhode Island’s standing in national business climate surveys, a diverse group of business leaders, trade associations, and educational institutions has joined forces to drive positive change. They envision a revitalized economy that fosters inclusive growth and prosperity across our state. This alliance is driven by a forward-looking ambition: to transform Rhode Island into a beacon of national economic competitiveness. Their collective goal is nothing less than a comprehensive revitalization, aiming to create opportunities that benefit all Rhode Islanders. In January 2025, the group launched an entity known as Rhode Island Business Leaders Alliance (the “Alliance”). Founding members of the Alliance include the Rhode Island Society of CPAs, the Rhode Island Manufacturers Association, Energy Marketers Association of Rhode Island, and KPMG, LLP. The Alliance is a partnership with Littler Mendelson, PC (“Littler”), the world’s largest labor and employment law practice focused on employers. Littler’s Workplace Policy Institute (“WPI”), the nation’s most powerful and influential government relations and public policy practice group, has been working with founding members since July 2024 and has played an instrumental role in setting the Alliance’s strategic direction.
