Established as Ziegler McCann Architects in 1991 in the town of Collingwood, the firm evolved into “Richard Ziegler Architect “ in the spring of 1993, and eventually moved to the Beaches area of Toronto. The office became incorporated in 2006. In the Fall of 2009 the office moved to its current location in the Docklands of Toronto. Richard Ziegler Architect Inc. has a wide variety of experience in complex building programs involving numerous Specialty Consultants, various User and Client Groups and Multiple Phasing Requirements. These projects include Private Commercial Facilities, Courthouses, Post Disaster Recovery Facilities, Police Detachments, and Government Administration Facilities. The firm also has a great deal of experience with projects requiring the co-ordination of high security access and monitoring. The firm has specialized in Space Needs Analysis, Multiple Partners, Complex Office Design, and Barrier-Free Design. We are accustomed to working with stringent budget constraints and have developed imaginative ways to create cost effective Architecture. Recently, the firm has been providing Building Information Modeling Services, Consulting and Project Management for both local and international projects. Richard Ziegler Architect Inc. maintains a team of Revit Specialists and Project Managers. As part of our services and under the Corporate banner of BIMSolutions Inc. we also work directly with other Architectural Firms, a relationship founded on the increasing need of a well-integrated 3D model for co-ordination purposes including: Complex Geometry Visualization and Representation; Accurate Construction Documentation; Coordination of Information; and Timely Recognition of Inconsistencies.
