Richardson Ambulance Service is a family-owned and operated small business based in Marion, VA. RAS strives to be the service that can and will do things for our customers that other services can't or wont. We want to be the service that people call because of the way people talk about us to their families, friends, and neighbors. At RAS, we understand that when someone needs to call upon our service, that it is a very bad time in their life. We do our best to be empathetic and to do whatever we can to help the patient and their family members through the difficult situation they are facing with as much comfort and compassion as possible. Our staff takes pride in the fact that we treat every patient as if they were a member of our own family. RAS also takes great pride in the level of service and patient care that we are able to provide. We have a close working relationship with our Medical Director who has provided us with a set of agency-specific medical protocols that allow our providers to care for our patients at the highest level possible. We were the first EMS agency in our area to deploy the capabilities of, and to utilize 12-lead ECG acquisition and interpretation, waveform capnography, biphasic defibrillation, and pleth wave oximetry, all on every unit. We may not be the biggest, but we are striving to be the best!!
