About Richmond Shag Club

The Richmod Shag Club was formed in 1986 to promote and preserve the Carolina Shag and beach music. With over 400 members, the Club offers free beginner shag lessons on Thursday evenings at Visions Dance Club in the Holiday Inn Select -Koger South. Members gather on Tuesday evenings at Visions for Intermediate lessons, line dance lessons, social dancing and networking. The Club sponsors and hosts other dance parties throughout the year.
