About Richmondshire Building Preservation Trust

Richmondshire Building Preservation Trust (RBPT) is a heritage restoration charity based in the market town of Richmond, North Yorkshire. RBPT was formed in 2003 with the aim of finding a new, exciting use for the old Richmond Station. The founding Trustees, from many different backgrounds, were passionate about saving the Grade II* listed building from dereliction or unsympathetic development. The Station became our flagship project and following sympathetic renovations, RBPT has now successfully managed the site for over 15 years. Richmondshire Building Preservation Trust was named such to allow for future adoption, restoration and management of buildings at risk in Richmondshire. We are continually looking for new challenges; both large and small.
