We work with space. The sensory experience of interior and exterior spaces as a living background to everyday processes and specific uses is a central aspect of our architecture and design work. Living, working, research, mobility, infrastructure, urban development - our design approach is characterised by the conviction that well-thought-out concepts, reduced to the essentials, are the only way to achieve an appropriate realisation in terms of content and economy. The conceptual considerations are aimed at providing relevant architectural answers to complex urban planning tasks and the associated ecological and socio-cultural issues. Clear construction methods, accessibility, openness to development and high functionality are important to us. Our architecture is not one of "built images". It creates structures and spaces of possibility, open and precise at the same time: frameworks for the complex flow and the diverse variations of images of use. Riegler Riewe Architekten was founded in Graz in 1987 by Florian Riegler and Roger Riewe. Christian Story joined the management team in 2021. Since 2023, the offices in Berlin and Graz have been managed in partnership by Miriam Koudmani, Michael Münzer, Roger Riewe and Christian Story.
