In 1974 we received our first call from a therapist asking us to adapt a classroom chair for a child. Ever since, we have tried to meet the needs of people with disabilities and their caregivers. People who use our equipment tell us it shows in our work, and indeed, Rifton products receive acclaim worldwide for their durability and adaptability. Each Rifton product has been designed with input and guidance from hundreds of therapists around the world, and these therapists keep us in touch with how our products are used. Their feedback tells us if we are fulfilling our mission: to design, engineer, test and build every product with the utmost care, all from our facilities in upstate New York. Rifton’s Pacer is the most widely used gait trainer in the world. The Rifton Activity Chair has become the classroom standard for positioning and daily activities and is also widely used in the home. Dynamic standers; toileting and bathing systems; three sizes of rugged adaptive tricycles; multi-position standers; adaptive desks—all these are included in our full line of complex rehabilitation products.
