About Rights Information & Advocacy Centre

We empower communities across 22 local government areas, spanning throughout Regional Victoria and Southern New South Wales. We work with a range of diverse communities including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Communities, LGBTIQA+, financially and socially disadvantaged, older Australians, and those living in remote and rural communities. Through our work and collaborative partnerships, we identify systemic issues to make a more inclusive community through changes to legislation, policies and practices to ensure the human rights and interests of people with a disability are upheld. We are part of the National Disability Advocacy Programme (NDAP) funded by the Australian Government.
