Riot Act Comedy and Dinner Theater will be a state of the art comedy showroom located at 801 E Street NW, in Washington, DC, a commanding, upscale location that combines a blend of tourist, commercial and retail establishments in the prosperous Penn Quarter area. The area itself taps into countless neighborhoods, local communities and businesses. It is within three blocks of five Metro Stations, including Metro Center, and on a major bus route. The building (comedy theater) will be situated within the same building as The Spy Museum, one block from The Verizon Center and three blocks from the National Mall. The area celebrates cultural refinement, general prosperity and attracts tourists and residents alike due to the diversity, ambiance and exuberance of the neighborhood and night life. Our vision is to create a comedy theater that would compete and be hailed as one of the best clubs in the country. The showroom will seat approximately 300-400 people comfortably and will be outfitted with state of the art lighting, sound, visual equipment, large retractable screen, WiFi and other various amenities. Our showroom is perfect for private events ranging from corporate functions and meetings to fashion shows and small group gatherings. The building itself, from its layout to the numerous improvements and upgrades already in place, lends itself perfectly to our vision of a comedy theater.
