About Ripley Sounds

Ripley Sounds is the Guildford-based teaching studio of Callum Ripley (BA Hons Songwriting & Vocal Education), offering lessons at The Boileroom, Guildford in voice, songwriting and guitar. Cal mentors aspiring singer-songwriters, prepares students for auditions and performances (including Brit School entry), and helps dedicated hobbyists and neurodivergent creatives grow in confidence, skill, and expressive freedom. His sessions blend technical development with emotional connection, creativity, and self-expression. With a background in somatic voicework, Cal supports students in finding their true sound – not just improving technique, but connecting to what they feel. He works with a wide range of students: adult beginners finding their voice later in life, teens building portfolios for music colleges, gigging musicians developing stamina, and shy singers gaining confidence to perform. Lessons are tailored to each student’s needs, with optional support in songwriting, performance, and artist identity. Studio sessions are relaxed, affirming, and rooted in respect for each voice’s unique journey. Ripley Sounds also offers occasional showcases and jam opportunities to build community and performance skills in a low-pressure setting.
