Women make up just 9% of the AV workforce, and only 2% in technical roles. By 2026, we’ll be short 2.3 million skilled workers (AVIXA). Rise AV is tackling the AV industry’s talent crisis by starting with its biggest gap: women. If we can’t retain the women already in the industry, how can we hope to attract more—or secure the future of AV? Our mission is to fix this crisis by: 1. Upskilling and empowering women already in AV to break the glass ceiling and create a diverse leadership pipeline 2. Attracting and retaining diverse talent by making AV more inclusive and attractive 3. Tackling the skills crisis by increasing female representation and building clear career pathways 4. Improve female representation and create a support network and community of allies Rise AV is the first initiative dedicated to creating a more inclusive AV sector.
