About RISE Center for Autism
The RISE Mission is to Raise Independence through Skills Empowerment The RISE Center for Autism aims to Raise Independence through Skills Empowerment for autistic individuals via the delivery of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) embedded in a structured delivery model called RISE BlocksTM. The RISE Center aims to connect autistic individuals to their families, community, and peers through group Family Guidance and a Sib Club where parents and siblings can learn and network, community workshops to raise awareness and tolerance, a dynamic K4aK (kids 4 autistic kids) program to promote peer engagement, and integration events. RISE BlocksTM will result in a better structured program to ensure quality and intensity in the ABA delivery and to replicate the school classrooms that the children will have to translate into. The model begins in the clinic but is transferable to the home environments for home-based patients The RISE BlocksTM are means to synchronize service to enable access for more children. Family Guidance done in group format frees up supervision time, also enabling access for more children in an industry with statewide supervisor shortages. A K4aK program and a community education program builds tolerance and knowledge in the communities the children will integrate into lifelong. A sensory room and a meals block addresses specific areas of training interest’s parents indicate are important to them. A sustainable structure through the RISE BlocksTM will align service time rotations so to better utilize clinical staff time to increase productivity and the number of children that can be served, and to promote retention in staff.
