Hello! I’m Dr. Katherine Lee 👩🏻🏫, a Higher Ed Coach & Career Strategist, and the founder of a coaching and consulting business called Rise with Clarity for women of color faculty in academia. I’m also an Asian American woman, certified coach, and a former tenured professor of Ethnomusicology. With 11 years of experience as a professor at two Research 1 universities, I have a deep understanding of the challenges that many women of color faculty face in higher ed. After coming to the realization that I'd never be able to thrive in a toxic and dysfunctional work environment, I decided to leave my tenured faculty position last year. I knew I wanted to make a difference for women of color faculty. So, I became a certified coach and started Rise with Clarity to help brilliant women like you who just need to have an ally in your corner. I help you to manage the tenure track, navigate politics, and take the next steps to advance your career with clarity and confidence. In my 6-month Signature Program, I work as your confidential and experienced thinking partner to help you: 🔑 Reclaim Your Time and Set Priorities 🔑 Navigate Politics and Racialized Aggressions 🔑 Speak Up and Gain Recognition, and 🔑 Design a Sustainable Path Forward—whether that involves ramping up in higher ed or eventually pivoting out. I also offer 90-minute strategy sessions to help you brainstorm a single bite-sized topic, like: 🔑 Coming up with a short-term writing accountability plan 🔑 Crafting your self-statement for your tenure review 🔑 Re-evaluating your future role at your institution, and 🔑 Exploring possible exit strategies with confidentiality.
