About Rivers Edge Christian Academy

River’s Edge Christian Academy’s mission is to work in partnership with parents to produce Christ-centered, lifelong learners by combining the best of both home and traditional Christian classroom education, infusing a biblical worldview, focusing on character, and supplying college/career worthy academics. We offer an innovative educational approach which combines private Christian school education with home education. We strive to train students academically and spiritually. Our unique format allows more opportunities for families to strengthen relationships and provide specialized education in an encouraging yet challenging atmosphere. Students attend classes on campus only three days per week – Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Parents provide instruction at home two days per week – Tuesdays and Fridays (designated as home study days). On the two home study days, parents and students follow lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher, reinforcing the classroom concepts and teaching new concepts as needed. Parents can also make provisions for their children’s further individualized educational needs on the two home study days by providing additional instruction or extra-curricular activities that are not offered by the school.
