Rico’s Upholstery was founded in 1986 by Ricardo “Rico” Rodriguez, whose passion for craftsmanship and design transformed a small workshop into a trusted name in bespoke upholstery. From the very beginning, his work was defined by meticulous attention to detail, artistry, and a commitment to honoring each client’s vision. In 2013, Rico’s son Roy and his wife Jazmin embraced the opportunity to carry forward that legacy. Together, they expanded the scope of the business—introducing custom furniture, precision millwork, and refined interior solutions that elevated the company from a neighborhood upholstery shop to a full-service design firm. Their leadership built upon Rico’s foundation while opening the door to larger-scale residential and commercial projects. Today, that evolution is realized as RLX Design. While our roots remain firmly in upholstery, our expertise now extends to bespoke interiors, curated furnishings, and architectural detailing for homes and commercial spaces alike. What began as a family workshop has become a multidisciplinary studio, driven by the same values of craftsmanship, service, and integrity that defined us from the start.
