About RMC Charitable Foundation
In 1984, 19 physicians from Riverside Medical Clinic came together to build a foundation committed to improving the health and quality of life in the region. In 2013, the Riverside Medical Clinic Charitable Foundation (RMCCF) took the founding physicians' vision that had been operating under a private foundation and turned it into a 501(c)3 public charity. For the last 40+ years, our health-based events, lectures, and community connections have worked to provide innovative programming focused on bullying prevention and improving overall health and wellness. * Started in 2014 and formerly known as the Anti-Bullying Institute, our Kindness Works Initiative offers hands-on programming, services, and resources designed to empower youth, educators, parents, and community members with practical tools to foster empathy, build positive relationships, and create safe, inclusive environments. By shifting the focus from intervention to prevention, we champion kindness, respect, and connection as powerful tools to stop bullying before it starts — while also supporting mental health and emotional well-being for all. * In 2016, we began awarding scholarships to members in the community who are interested in pursuing a career in the healthcare industry. This year we will be awarding our 100th scholarship awardee, distributing over $60,000 to the community in these healthcare scholarships. * In 2021, Riverside Project Heart was initiated, in partnership with the Riverside Fire Department (RFD) with the goal of improving survival after a sudden cardiac event. Now known as "IE Project Heart", this program is a community-based initiative providing lifesaving education, hands-on training, and accessible resources to empower individuals in cardiac emergencies and long-term heart health. Through CPR certification, expanded AED access, and preventive nutrition education, we work to close health equity gaps and strengthen emergency preparedness—especially in underserved communities.
