About Road To Emmaus Ministry Of Syracuse Inc
ROAD TO EMMAUS MINISTRY OF SYRACUSE INC is a not for profit community services organization on Syracuse’s south side. We operate out of the St. Marianne Cope Center for Outreach at 127 E. Glen Ave., Syracuse, NY 13205. All services are free. We provide daily meals (M-F), monthly grocery bags, children’s activity programs, haircuts, shower access, caseworker on site 3 days a week, access to free legal assistance through Volunteer Lawyer Project, and monthly vision and hearing screening. In Spring 2022 we are opening the St. Marianne Cope Health Services at 4335 S. Salina St, Syracuse, NY, next door to the outreach center, providing access to free dental and medical care. Emmaus Ministry began in 2009 as a parish outreach ministry of St. James Church in the Valley. Today, it is a dynamic 501 (c) 3 serving a depressed neighborhood within the city. Emmaus operates with a small staff and over 60 volunteers to provide services six days a week.
