About Roadmender Asphalt

Roadmender manufacture sustainable waste tyre rubber-modified recycled repair materials for the road construction and utility reinstatement sectors. Our core product, Elastomac, is a sustainable cost-effective solution to potholes that is significantly faster, cheaper and greener than conventional pothole repairs. We also manufacture materials for ironwork reinstatement that replace 49% of the fossil fuel bitumen in the mix with end-of-life waste tyres and other recycled waste streams to produce a polymer-modified Mastic Asphalt ("PMMA") that's carbon footprint is ~60% less than regular asphalt. In addition to the circular economies it delivers, the material is also waterproof, voidless, extremely hard-wearing, has zero waste and is able to be heated and mixed directly at the job site. This simple change in process saves teams 1 - 2 hours a day of wasted time and collecting hot materials from an asphalt plant when they could be out there fixing roads.
