Robinson Grant & Co., P.A. officially opened its doors in the Lowcountry on July 1, 1982 when the two founding partners, William C. “Bill” Robinson, CPA and J. Louis Grant, CPA, made an offer to purchase the Beaufort and Hilton Head offices of Charleston based McKnight Frampton, Buskirk, and Co. Bill Robinson had begun managing the Beaufort office of Buskirk and Associates (which subsequently merged with McKnight Frampton) in 1968 and Louis Grant took charge of the Hilton Head office in 1978. As the two partners worked closely together managing the Beaufort and Hilton Head offices, it became clear to them that there was an opportunity to better serve the area by establishing a local firm committed to integrity, trust, service to the community, and putting clients first. These qualities were the building blocks of Robinson Grant & Co, P.A. and still remain the core principles of the firm today which recently celebrated its 35th anniversary of committed service to the communities of Beaufort County.
