ROC THE BLOCK is one of the largest and fastest-growing Juneteenth festivals in the country—celebrating Black culture, community, and commerce in a bold, multi-day experience that brings together families, artists, educators, entrepreneurs, and change-makers from across the U.S. and beyond. Founded in 2021 by Bolaji Ajike, ROC THE BLOCK was created to amplify joy and economic opportunity in the Black community through a platform that bridges generations and builds legacy. In just five years, we’ve grown from a neighborhood block party to a full-scale, weeklong festival drawing over 25,000 attendees, 100+ vendors, major brand sponsors, and national media coverage. Our events are intentionally multigenerational—from toddlers waving flags to elders leading legacy talks—because we believe celebration and education go hand in hand.
