About Rocket Works

Rocket Works is a newly founded student engineering team at Heriot-Watt University, driven by a passion for innovation and exploration. Our first major milestone is EuRoC 2026, Europe’s premier student rocketry competition, where we aim to design, build, and launch a rocket entirely from scratch — a true test of engineering skill, creativity, and collaboration. Beyond this, we are setting our sights even higher. In parallel, our team is undertaking the ambitious development of an in-house liquid rocket motor, with the goal of competing at Race2Space in 2027. This project represents one of the most technically demanding challenges in student rocketry and will pave the way for launching larger, more advanced rockets in the years to come. We are a team of aspiring engineers, innovators, and problem-solvers united by one mission: to push the boundaries of what students can achieve in rocketry.
