About Rockwell International School of the Arts

Rockwell International School of the Arts is an experimental arts education high school located in Taichung, Taiwan. Our inaugural school year is currently scheduled for fall of 2023. Inspired by Friedrich Schiller’s concept of an “Aesthetic Education,” we believe that art is a fundamental and inalienable component of any education. Art is essential to the development of any individual. The arts are not only a way for our students to develop valuable life skills, they can also learn more about themselves and the world through their art practice. At Rockwell, we are passionate with breaking paradigms and molds, and trying new things and taking risks. Students are not “molds” into which we fill our hopes, dreams and expectations. We will respect the freedom and autonomy of our students while giving them the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in whatever they choose to do When students take ownership of their learning, their lives change immediately. Through our IDP approach, every student will have the freedom to follow their passions and interest, bolstered from behind with a long-term plan. Our residential life program will provide the perfect environment to facilitate personal and educational growth in our students. Through Rockwell’s bilingual methodology, our students will develop strong communication skills in English, making them well-prepared for the global stage. It’s a big world out there, and modern students can’t afford to be the “frog at the bottom of the well.” Through our International Program, students will gain ample opportunities to go abroad on educational trips, and most importantly, matriculate to international art & design schools.
