About Rodeheaver Foundation
Since our incorporation in 1995 Rodeheaver Foundation has been advocating for future generations of boys who need a caring and nurturing environment to become successful adults. Our priority is to provide financial support for Rodeheaver Boys Ranch to continue their legacy of high quality childcare in a loving and stable family setting, with open arms and necessary resources. Rodeheaver Boys Ranch, located in Palatka, FL, has been providing complete care for up to 50 disadvantaged boys since 1950. Children make their way to the Rodeheaver Boys Ranch because they have no home of their own due to parental death, desertion, divorce, disability or dysfunction. The Ranch, a full 'working ranch', teaches the boys responsibility and respect, and provides these young men with structure and an opportunity to build a strong foundation for their future. Our mission is to nurture children in a safe environment, providing roots for them to become thriving adults. In the words of Nelson Mandela "Safety and security don't just happen, they are the result of collective consensus and public investment. We owe our children, the most vulnerable citizens in our society, a life free of violence and fear." We know this is no longer only true in South Africa, but the story of many children here at home. Rodeheaver Boys Ranch focuses on at-risk and underprivileged youth. The Ranch accepts children from all over the state of Florida and neighboring states. After their stay at the Ranch, many boys grow to be accomplished members of society. There are many programs and resources available to the boys at Rodeheaver Boys Ranch, including their own Boy Scouts troop located on the Ranch, 4H and their equestrian program- the Rockin R' Horse Program. Our mission is to nurture children in a safe environment, providing roots for them to become thriving adults. It is our job to provide all the necessary resources needed at Rodeheaver Boys Ranch.
