About Rodgers Christian Counseling
At Rodgers Christian Counseling our professional counselors are passionate about working with individuals, couples, families, teens and children to bring hope and healing to their lives and relationships. We create a safe, compassionate environment to help our clients build an alliance and enable them to dive deeper into self-awareness and insight into their past wounds and the emotional reactivity that is triggered as a result. We work collaboratively with clients to set obtainable goals for changing negative belief systems and unhealthy behaviors and promote healing and positive change. Our counselors use a variety of models and theories and tailor-make treatment to suit the needs and goals of their clients. In addition all of our staff is trained in the Soul Healing Love Model developed by founders Drs. Bev and Tom Rodgers. The model contains both psychological tools and exercises to help clients to more easily recognize their soul wounds from the past and allow God's Soul healing Love to wash over them and penetrate their whole being. We use Scripture and Biblical concepts aligned with current research in neuroscience to reprogram the negative brain into a positive one. The Soul Healing Love exercises and tools also assist clients in becoming aware of their triggers and the emotional reactivity that results. They learn to manage anger in a healthy way and communicate more effectively with those close to them and others in general. Soul Healing Love teaches healthy communication tools for couples and families designed to create understanding, resolve conflict, reconcile differences, enhance empathy and foster forgiveness. It ministers to clients as a whole person mind, spirit, and soul. RCCA therapists use books, workbooks, DVDs, and CDs, created by the founders in addition to podcasts and webinars on the model to aid in the healing process. Our counselors are honored to walk with clients on their healing journey and see them grow and change.
