About Roger H. Strait Memorial Foundation
The Roger H. Strait Memorial Foundation is dedicated to the relief of the poor and the education and encouragement of those who work with them worldwide. Current projects supported by the Foundation: Establish self-supporting health clinics and hospitals in rural areas of Asia and Africa; Develop educational programs and materials for indigenous peoples in third world communities. These programs are designed to reinforce the students’ knowledge of their native language and culture, English and mathematics; Establish self-supporting school systems. We will utilize the developed educational programs and materials in underdeveloped regions lacking adequate educational infrastructure; Relief and emergency housing programs for victims of natural and man made disasters; Provide post-baccalaureate education for men and women desiring to acquire additional skills and training. This enables them to work more effectively in their specific field. Current and previous recipients of assistance from the Foundation have studied medicine, nursing, theology, engineering, aeronautics and history. The Foundation is a charitable corporation organized in the United States under the laws of the State of Florida and tax exempt under section 501(c) (3) of the United States internal revenue code.
