We provide lodging, nutrition, transportation, comfort, hope, and resources to families with sick or injured children receiving medical care in Buffalo, NY. We believe when families are together, they cope better. We believe no family should have to deal with their child’s medical crisis alone. Ronald McDonald House Charities of WNY, Inc. (RMHC of WNY) is part of a global network of Ronald McDonald Houses and programs that serve nearly 6,000,000 children and families annually. Since 1974, our network of local chapters have been making children happier and healthier by keeping families together and giving them a place to rest and heal. Tailored to meet the urgent needs of each community, these programs can now be found in more than 64 countries and regions across the globe. The Buffalo House Our House is filled with more than help, it's filled with hope. Each year over 500 families stay at our Buffalo House located at 780 West Ferry Street in downtown Buffalo just minutes away from Oishei Children's Hospital, Sisters Hospital and Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Our House is built on the simple idea that nothing else should matter when a family is focused on the health of their child – not where they can afford to stay, where they will get their next meal or where they will lay their head at night to rest. We believe that when a child is hospitalized the love and support of family is as powerful as the strongest medicine prescribed.
