About Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley
Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley keeps families close to each other and to the care and resources they need to help them cope better and ease some of the emotional and financial burdens they experience when faced with a child's illness. The House has 12 bedrooms that are filled to capacity almost every night. Meals, laundry and respite services are provided to families during their stay. Located on the campus of the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY, the House is just steps away from the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital. Since it opened in 2011, more than 2,000 families have called the House their Home. Our House is a critical part of a child’s treatment, providing the ability for families to stay together. We provide our families with a low-cost, safe and comfortable home-like setting with the convenience of being steps away from the hospital. Our staff and volunteers are here to provide comfort and support to our families during the most difficult time of their lives.
