About Rooted In Hope Therapy Services
I am an MSW, with a passion for helping people reconnect to themselves to find their inner strength and hope. I completed my MSW and BSW through the University of Calgary. Through these degrees and practicum placements I gained experience in the following areas: seniors issues, chronically ill patients, corrections, homelessness and acute mental health and addictions. Throughout my career, that commenced in 1998, I have worked with women and children experiencing domestic violence, at-risk-youth, newcomers to Canada, foster care and active military personnel. My career and education have also allowed me to develop knowledge and cultural awareness of Indigenous people and the effects of inter-generational trauma. Working in these diverse environments and seeing individuals grow and overcome dynamic and heart-breaking situations has been a great honor.
