With the Rovar platform, users can launch virtual augmented pods at anytime, at any location across a city that instantly highlight nearby attractions, events and points of interests such as cafes, retail outlets and available means of sustainable transport. Providing real-time navigation including travel time and distance, the pod guides the user to their chosen, encouraging and incentivising the visitor to explore further, to go off the beaten track and engage with new communities, spending time in the area and contributing to the local economy. As Digital Designers, the Rovar team realised the opportunity to apply 20+ years experience in branding and visual communication, to approach smart cities from a different perspective by placing the citizen at the centre of the user experience and empowering communities to tell their story with augmented reality, to shape their narrative and become an attractive destination within their own city. Placing their story on the map, we then have the opportunity to attract new visitors to their district. Rovar can be easily branded, built and deployed for many visitor experiences, whether it be for tourism attractions and events, as well as helping increase dwell time and wayfinding within the retail space or simplifing the passenger experience while turning waiting time into playtime !
