One of America’s oldest cities, New Orleans, can be defined by its history and traditions that are still alive and well in the old French Quarter and surrounding neighborhoods. Preserving one of those cultural traditions is a 3rd generation family-owned company known as Royal Carriages, recipient of the 2018 Louisiana Attraction of the Year Award by Louisiana Travel Association. Since the birth of New Orleans in 1718, guests have toured the city by carriage. It's the proper way to see the French Quarter and the most authentic view of the city. For generations, the Lauga Family has been passionate about providing the best tours around and it's this commitment that has made Royal Carriages the oldest commercial carriage operator in the United States. Royal Carriages provides authentic mule-drawn carriage tours of the French Quarter and surrounding areas to thousands of visitors and locals each year. In addition, Royal Carriages offers large group transportation via carriage and wedding carriage services. Our diverse mule-drawn tour and transportation company can accomodate special requests, accommodating up to 85 passengers at once with our fleet of carriages.
