About RPDE

The RPDE Program was created in 2005 as a collaborative arrangement between Defence, Industry and Academia, to solve difficult and challenging problems, in an innovative and collegiate environment. All efforts were focussed on developing solutions quickly, to accelerate the delivery of Australian Defence Force capability. Participants in the RPDE Program worked in a collaborative, non-competitive environment where commercial interests were set aside and background IP protected to find the best, workable solutions for Defence. In 2018, RPDE was dissolved and its functions integrated into the Defence Innovation Hub.
